Just a quick update…

Stress and hair shedding are more connected than people realise.

When we go through prolonged stress, the body produces more cortisol, which is our main stress hormone. In small amounts that’s completely normal, but when cortisol stays elevated for a long time it can start to affect things like sleep, inflammation and even the hair growth cycle.

Hair follicles are surprisingly sensitive to what’s happening inside the body, so when stress levels stay high it can push more hairs into the resting phase of the cycle. Those hairs then shed a couple of months later, which is why people often don’t link the shedding back to the original stressful period.

Supporting the body during times of stress can therefore be really important for overall hair health. Ingredients like ashwagandha are known as adaptogens, which help the body regulate its stress response and bring cortisol levels back into balance over time.
